Christy’s parents are really wonderful. I have told Christy that on several occasions and she always gives me such a strange look :) Her parents are middle school teachers in Oklahoma so we had something similar in common, being teachers. Her parents live four hours away in a town just outside of Tulsa.
This morning, we traveled to Oklahoma to meet her parents. We met them at Choctaw Casino and then drove to Durant to eat lunch at a nice Mexican restaurant before taking a sightseeing tour of Christy’s college. We also saw the world’s largest peanut. We went back to Choctaw and went into the casino. I played a few games and actually came out $40 dollars ahead. At the end, we said our goodbyes to the parents and made our way back to Texas and home.
I know I tease Christy about Oklahoma all the time but it is really beautiful there. The land is breathtaking and the Sooners make the longhorns look like a high school team but that may even be an insult to many high school teams who could take the longhorns easily. Hey, I even have a license plate frame with the Sooners on it. (What a gift!)
