We had hypothetically talked about the future at different times in our relationship. I cannot say enough good things about Christy (yes I said good). She is the best thing that has happened to me. I tell her that my goal is to make her happier, each and every day. Towards the end of May, we had talked about the future and how engagement was definitely in both of our plans. I think what Christy and I have is something really special. She is on my mind and in my thoughts every day and will always be. She won’t like this but I will tell you some good things about her. She has a heart of gold. She sees the good in people and tries to help out whenever and however she can. Sometimes things don’t always work out the best in life but the key thing is to get up and continue, knowing there is something better and realizing that you want to do something more in life and while the happily ever after life seems like a fairy tale sometime, it is possible. We are not into games at all, we never have been. We are both at a point in our lives where we know what we want out of a relationship and out of life. We love each other and decided that the next step would be to look at an engagement ring.
I told Christy that I wanted her to have what she truly wanted and deserved, the best. A week or so before we would leave for our Branson trip, we found a ring. The ring takes your breath away and I believe Christy fell in love with it almost instantly. She had it sized and picked it up the next day.
