has arrived

First let me say that for all the kidding around and cutting up I do with Christy’s parents, I think they are pretty cool and think very highly of them.  Just don’t ask me what it is that I think highly of them at!  j/k.  Terry and Glenda,  I always enjoy our time with you and this weekend was no different.  We arrived in Glenpool shortly after 10:00 p.m on Friday night.  We went out to the back porch and sat and visited with her parents, brother, and sister in law. 

We got up Saturday morning and had a wonderful breakfast casserole that her mom made.  From there, we went to Best Buy where we got a Wii Fit.  We’ve only played it a little bit but it’s fun.  After Best Buy, we went to Petsmart to get a few things.  We went to Safari Joe’s next and it was awesome.  I wish there was something around here that compared.  There are plenty of pictures in the photo gallery. We had a wonderful tour guide (dad runs the place). 

We then traveled to Casa Bonita where we ate dinner for Aaron’s (Christy’s Brother) birthday.  I was very impressed with the place.  The food was good and the atmosphere was even better.  It seemed very family-oriented.  After dinner, we drove to a nearby casino.  It was my second time in one and this time, I didn’t have as much luck this time.  After the trip to the casino, we went to her parents house where we enjoyed a night of cards and spirits.  I think we all had a blast this weekend and I learned yet another valuable lesson:  Be nice to Christy. 

We started the drive home on Sunday morning and got back about 4:00.  We played with the Wii Fit for a while and Christy uploaded the many pics she took this weekend to our website.  All in all, it was a great weekend, even won in mario kart!
