Homecoming Surprise

Christy’s parents came down on Thursday evening.  We always enjoy our time with them and this was certainly no exception.  Christy made a delicious meal that evening and then we played some Mario Kart before retiring for the evening.  The next day at my school was Homecoming.  My school hosts an excellent homecoming parade each year for the varsity football team and seniors.  It is quite a big deal.  I had prepared for the day by making jerseys.  On the morning of the parade, I was waiting outside with the boys in my class and another teacher’s class.  All of a sudden I heard ‘Hi Mr. Wallace.’  I thought it may have been a parent.  I looked over and who do I see?  Christy and her parents standing there by the fence.  Thank goodness that Christy didn’t take a pic of my expression.  It certainly would’ve been used against me.  I thought earlier in the week that Christy may come but then she got really busy at work.  Little did I know that as soon as her parents pulled up Thursday evening, she went out and told them of her plans.  Have I also mentioned she is diabolically evil?  Christy tells me all the time that she loves me the mostest and I always disagree (go figure).  It meant and still means a lot to me that they spent part of their day to come over and watch the parade.  Thanks guys, love ya much! Okay, this post is getting long so I’ll make a new one about the parents (uh oh, watch out Terry and Glenda).
